Alison Doody

Alison Doody is an Irish model and actress. She was born on 11th November 1966. She made her debut in a Bond film called A View to a Kill in 1985. She starred in 1989 as Nazi-sympathizing archaeologist Elsa Schneider in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Siobhan was in A Prayer for the Dying, Charlotte in Taffin and Rebecca Flannery Major League II. Doody was first introduced to modeling when she was invited by a professional photographer. This led to an enviable professional career as a model for commercials. Doody did not shy away from glamour or sexually explicit work. This was a policy allowed her to pursue an acting profession. In 1985, following getting noticed by the directors who were casting the James Bond new film, Doody acted in a tiny portion of Jenny Flex as in A View to a Kill. Doody's name was featured as a part of John Willis Screen World Vol. 12 of the most promising young actors of 1986. 38. The Storyteller episode from 1988 was her first appearance in the main character of Sapsorrow, alongside John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. She acted alongside Pierce Brosnan as Dr. Elsa Schneider, an Austrian Nazi sympathizer and an forensic archaeologist in the 1989 film Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. The film also starred Sean Connery as Indy's father Doody has acted alongside three actors that have played James Bond. Doody played alongside Jonathan Pryce as Hitler Diaries the British mini-series based on Hitler Diaries. Following her move to Hollywood Doody made her an international star. The decision was made to replace Cybill Shepard as L'Oreal spokeswoman. She was later cast alongside Charlie Sheen as Flannery, his agent and girlfriend in Major League II. Doody who was away from acting for almost 10 years, returned in 2003 to take on a tiny part in the British comedy The Actors in which Michael Caine was her character as a character at an award ceremony. The year 2004, she starred with Patrick Swayze alongside a TV version of King Solomon's Mines. Also Doody was on Benjamin's Struggle (2005), an essay on the Holocaust. Doody was on Danny Dyer 2010's The Rapture. She guested in RTE's Medical drama The Clinic. The project was later shelved. The year 2011 saw her debut on the first season of two on E4 comedy drama Beaver Falls playing Pam Jefferson. In 2014, she appeared on We Still Kill the Old Way (2014). The Almeria Tierra de Film Award was given to her on November 21, 2018. She also received a star on the Almeria Walk of Fame.
