Marcia Harvey

Marcia Harvey, an African-American author, is more well-known for her ex-wife comedian and TV host Steve Harvey. Marcia Harvey leads a quiet life, avoiding any media attention. While Steve was not even near the level of success that he has today and they were married for fourteen years. Rumours have been circulating in Hollywood regarding the reason for their separation. Some people believe it was because of Steve Harvey's cheating, while others attribute it on his decision to pursue a comedy profession. The tragedy of her life can be traced back to the reality that Steve left her and his two daughters, while she was expecting their third baby. Despite all of the hardships she was able to create an impressive career as a fashion and writer. It isn't much known about Marcia Harvey's past, besides the fact that she was born in an African-American family , and they were not very rich. She began her career in the department store "Saks Fifth Avenue". Steve met her at a wedding reception to a mutual friend couple of years later. The two met and fell in love. They were married in the year 1980. The couple was blessed with twin girls in 1982. Steve worked as an insurance salesperson. Steve was disillusioned at work and made the decision to pursue a job in the field of entertainment. He hoped to be comedian stand-up. Steve and Marcia could not get along and reports later suggested that they'd been living in a relationship since 1990. Marcia Harvey's fame stemmed mostly from her marriage to Steve Harvey, and their divorce. While the details of their divorce from 1994 are kept secret, it's evident that Marcia was expecting their third child when the whole thing fell apart. Marcia finally filed for divorce in 1993. Following the divorce, and Steve Harvey's refusal to pay alimony and child support, Marcia was forced to approach the law.
